What is a Turdaroon? Well, basically a chocolate macaroon gone wrong, one that ends up looking like a turd. Despite the unfortunate swirly turd pattern, Turdaroon bears the mark of a true macaroon - he has feet!

A huge thank you to Heavenly Housewife for letting me borrow Turdaroon for Weird Food Wednesdays! Check out her fabulous blog, From Donuts to Delirium: My Life as a Housewife, for more culinary adventures (she really is quite an amazing baker).

When I saw her post that, I just burst out laughing. I'd have a couple of those. LOL. Good choice for weird food wednesday. ;-)
funny!
I can fetch you some weird photos for your WFW posts. Snakes? Mouse Wine? Chicken Feet? Deep fried Pork Colon? Pork bellies? You name it, I go take photos, WA HA HA HA
Turdaron, hhhmm - the name, not so much
Hahahahah I have made one too many turdaroons in my life. I gave up. Hahaha
Jenn: Yeah, I just died laughing when I saw Turdaroon. Couldn't help myself!
Chow and Chatter: Thanks :)
Kenny: You are a good friend indeed, Kenny! But you'd have to be willing to try all those things mentioned!
OysterCulture: how 'bout Macaturd? ;)
Teanna: Haha..I remember that post! I bet they still tasted pretty good though.
Snakes soup, I love!
Chicken feet, I definitely order it every time I go yum cha!
Deep fried pork colon, another must order item in a Teochow restaurant.
Pork bellies, yummilicious!
But Mouse Wine, I may needa get someone to help me on this, as you have already known, I am leporiphobic and musophobic.
Kenny:
Snake soup: Why eat snake when it tastes like chicken? (although I said the same thing about frog's legs, which I ended up enjoying)
Chicken feet: I've had this at dim sum and it tastes like chicken feet. The sauce is yummy but I still don't get it!
Deep fried pork colon: I would try this only if you could guarantee that it was perfectly cleaned! (and maybe bleached like tripe!)
Pork bellies: This I've had, not so weird anymore - all the rage in NYC.
Mouse Wine: I doubt you will find anyone to help you with this one in North America (unless your name happens to be Andrew Zimmern!)
It is an unfortunate combination of color, shape and texture. And yet, I'm strangely drawn to it . . . 8-D
Tangled Noodle: Haha, turdaroon's pretty irresistible. Heavenly Housewife will be thrilled to see your comment!
