Pancake Bites from Dunkin' Donuts

Hubby returned from Dunkin' Donuts this morning with some 'Pancake Bites' (3 for $1.49):

They remind me of mini-corndogs... pancake batter wrapped around breakfast sausage. The shell was slightly crisp on the outside with a sweet hint of maple flavor.

I haven't seen these anywhere else online so perhaps someone just got creative with some batter and breakfast links at my local Dunkin' Donuts!

But the real question is: How do they taste?

Have you told him lately that you love him?!! (Cue Rod Stewart.)

If he brings me some of those, I'LL tell him!

Linda: They taste pretty good for Dunkin' Donuts (but I love anything that tastes like a corndog!)

Sue: All the time :) Kris knows the way to my heart is through my stomach LOL!

Those look adorable! We must visit Dunkin' Donuts and try them very soon!

Heavenly Housewife: You said it, daaahling!

5 Star Foodie: I wonder whether you'll be able to find them by you, I can't even find them on their office website. Maybe it was just an experimental thing in NJ?

They DO look like corn dogs of a sort. Oh my! So do you get a little container of maple syrup to dunk them into? ;)

During my trip, there was a dunkin' donuts at the mall and I was tempted to go in and have a coule of those donuts balls. I've never seen the pancake bites before. Is it new? Either way...I want some for breakfast, lunch and dinner. lol

Carolyn: No maple syrup on the side, just some maple flavoring inside the batter (which is as good as it's gonna get at DD)

Jenn: Seriously, no one else has seen these. Must have just been a local thing!

hmm, you live in jersey though, right? so i should be able to track these down. i definitely haven't heard about them before though. i was at a DD at the jersey shore over memorial day weekend, and they didn't have these.

Phyllis said...

Justin: Central NJ. Not sure you want to trek all the way out here just for these!

they're really good... but DD doesn't have the nutritional info for them on their website.

Phyllis said...

j-nic: thanks for stopping by! And as for the nutritional value, do we really want to know? ;)

the bites are a new product that dunkin' is trying out. they aren't just local to nj. dunkin' has launched an ad campaign recently. i live in pa and we have them here too. (: maybe they are slowly working over to the west!

I just called them for the nutritional info.... yikes!!!!!!

Good news: They're not just in New Jersey! I just had some this morning at my local DD here in PA. They're brand new though, which is why they're not online. I'm a type 1 diabetic, so I'm trying to figure out the carbohydrates for these delicious little breakfast treats, but your blog was all that I found when I searched for their pancake bites.

Oh, j-nic, I just read your comment. Did they happen to tell you the carbohydrates for them? I think I might have to call DD as well.

Tried them this weekend while in NJ. They were pretty good. When I came back to NY, I tried to get more but was told NY doesn't have them yet. :(

Can't wait to try these! I work in the Merchandise Mart in Chicago and there is a Dunkin Donuts right by the McDonalds, so I am planning on grabbing a syrup from them! YUM:)
